We have two public time servers. They are as follows:
They're currently not publicly available, as I have not completed their validation processes, but will be public soon.
Q: Why do we offer public time servers?
A: Because while there is a global network of time servers, we have noticed that there is a stunning lack of time servers in some locations, such as 7 time servers here in Mexico versus that of say, the 600 and some servers in the United States. Therefore, for the two time servers we're offering, they're in the same location but on different providers for public access.
Q: What stratum are they?
A: They are stratum 1 time servers, backed by GPS and on UPSes with access to fiber.
Q: What do you use for the time servers?
A: Raspberry Pi 5s with the TimeHat from John Miller. We have a couple iterations of TimeHats. These Pi 5s are the 2GB variant and are running on SSDs for maximum reliability.
